Companion Watchlist (“the App”) values your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information. Our goal is to give you a safe and private experience for managing your personal watchlists.

1. Information We Collect

The App does not require account registration, and we do not collect personal identifiers such as name, email, or phone number. Information stored includes:

• Watchlist Data: Titles of movies, TV shows, and books you add to your list, along with optional details such as links, reference notes, watchlist type (book, movie, or TV show), page or episode numbers, categories (e.g., Fantasy, Fiction, Self-Help), and expected completion date.

2. How Information Is Used

All information is stored locally on your device only. The App does not transmit, upload, or back up any personal or watchlist data to external servers. We as developers cannot access your data.

3. Data Retention & Deletion

You are in full control of your data. You may edit or delete any item in your watchlist at any time. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all data stored on your device.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your information is stored securely in the App’s local storage. Since no cloud backup is used, if your device is lost or data is deleted, it cannot be recovered.

5. Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate third-party analytics, ads, or tracking tools. Specifically:

• No Google Analytics or Firebase usage
• No advertising networks (e.g., AdMob)
• No external cloud syncing

However, Google Play may collect anonymized app usage statistics and crash reports. These are handled under Google’s Privacy Policy.

6. Internet Connection

The App is designed to function offline. No personal or watchlist data is transmitted over the internet.

7. App Permissions

The App does not require any special permissions to function. All features work without access to your device’s sensitive data.

If in the future we introduce features that require additional permissions, this Privacy Policy will be updated to clearly explain what data is accessed, why it is needed, and how it is used, before such changes take effect.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date.

10. Intellectual Property

All content within the App is either original to the developer or used with proper licensing/attribution. Trademarks, logos, and brand names belong to their respective owners. developer respects intellectual property rights and does not claim ownership of third-party content.
